Proverbs 16:3 Explanation - Entrust Everything to God and Don’t Bear It All Yourself
Daily Bible Verse of the Day
Commit your works to the LORD, and your thoughts shall be established
Is the burden of work difficulties, family troubles, and strained interpersonal relationships leaving you emotionally and physically exhausted? Are you exerting all your efforts but still can’t find a solution? It’s time to stop carrying it all by yourself! Take a moment to read Proverbs 16:3 Explanation, and you’ll discover that relying on God can lighten your load and empower you.
Do you frequently sense that you’re nearing your breaking point? No matter how hard you try, do you still feel anxious, and does everything seem to go wrong despite your meticulous planning? Maybe it’s not about putting in more effort, but rather about learning to entrust your worries to God. By reading this essay, you will discover how to find genuine strength and direction.
Often, we have a habit of trying to solve our problems on our own. When challenges arise at work, we strive tirelessly; when we encounter relationship issues, we frantically seek remedies; when family issues arise, we lie awake at night worrying, with our minds racing with “What can I do?” Yet, the more we operate like this, the more we notice that things don’t improve, and instead, we become more fatigued and aimless.
“Commit your works to the LORD, and your thoughts shall be established” (Proverbs 16:3). This quote serves as a reminder that the real force behind achieving things is not our own intelligence, but God’s leadership. Our abilities and vision are finite; there are countless matters we cannot fully grasp, and no matter how thoroughly we plan, mistakes can still happen. Yet, God is omnipotent; He is aware of the past, present, and future, knows what is best for us, and how to guide us down the correct path. Thus, surrendering everything to God is not an escape from responsibility, but a decision to allow the wisest and most loving God to direct our steps.
God says, “You must be proactive in cooperating with Me; be diligent, and never be lazy. Always fellowship with Me and attain an even deeper intimacy with Me. If you do not understand, do not be impatient for quick results. It is not that I will not tell you; it is that I want to see whether you rely on Me when you are in My presence, and whether you are confident in your dependence on Me. You must always remain close to Me, and place all matters in My hands. Do not go back in vain. After you have been unconsciously close to Me for a period of time, My intentions shall be revealed to you. If you grasp them, then you will truly come face to face with Me, and you will truly have found My face. You will have much clarity and steadfastness within, and you will have something to rely on. You will then also possess power, as well as confidence, and you will have a path forward. Everything will come easily to you” (The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. Utterances of Christ in the Beginning, Chapter 9).
I find this statement particularly moving. Many times, we rush to resolve our issues, yet God isn’t unwilling to provide us with answers; He just wants to see if we genuinely want to depend on Him and have faith in Him. God’s intentions are clear: As long as we surrender everything to Him and patiently await His guidance, He will naturally reveal to us the way forward.
I know a friend who faced tremendous challenges while launching her business; the company was poorly managed and faced severe losses. In the beginning, she worked tirelessly, trying to resolve the issues with her own abilities, but the more she struggled, the more overwhelmed she felt, even losing sleep at night. Eventually, she realized she was relying solely on herself and had forgotten to seek help from God. So, she started praying every day, surrendering the company’s matters to God, confident that He would prepare a way for her. Before long, she felt inspiration during her prayers and started to adjust the direction of her business, resulting in a miraculous turn of events that brought her through the crisis, and her career slowly got back on track. She said to me, “When I learned to surrender, my heart became much more peaceful because I knew God would guide me.”
In truth, everyone encounters problems, but the key is whether we are willing to entrust them to God and whether we believe He will help us. If we constantly hold onto the idea of solving everything on our own, we will only feel more exhausted and anxious. However, if we learn to rely on God and submit everything to Him, we will find that the path ahead isn’t as difficult as it seems, and challenges become much more manageable. With faith, peace, and reliance within us, the way forward becomes clearer.
Friend, if you are currently facing difficulties and don’t know what to do, why not take a moment to stop and pray to God, entrusting your troubles to Him? Trust in God; He will surely open a door for us at the right moment, revealing a way out. God’s love has never left us; He is always waiting for us to depend on Him.
