Alert of Solar Storms: Beauty and Disaster – Where Is Humanity’s Path Forward?

Recently, the Earth has been struck by the strongest geomagnetic storm in 20 years, resulting in rare and spectacular auroras seen in many countries and regions, from Europe, the United States, and Canada in the Northern Hemisphere, to New Zealand, Chile, and Argentina in the Southern Hemisphere. While these powerful magnetic storms have brought mesmerizing views, they also pose potential disasters. This serves as a reminder that solar storms are not merely beautiful natural phenomena; they also carry immense destructive power.

Alert of Solar Storms

Although this solar storm did not cause widespread disasters, it did disrupt power systems and satellites. Imagine the consequences if a more intense solar storm were to occur in the future. According to scientists’ predictions, in 2025, solar storms will peak again in their active phase, and humanity may face this apocalyptic disaster. Once a solar storm collides head-on with the Earth, there will be a risk of paralysis to global power systems, communication networks, and satellite systems. Such a scenario would cause turmoil in a society highly dependent on the internet and power systems, undoubtedly leading to a major catastrophe. Furthermore, it’s not just solar storms that bring disasters to humanity. In recent years, we have witnessed a series of disasters such as pandemics, wars, earthquakes, famines, floods, heatwaves, dust storms, volcanic eruptions, and more, constantly threatening human survival. Faced with these uncontrollable disasters, humanity appears so small and fragile, feeling helpless and powerless. In the face of disasters, we are filled with anxiety and confusion, as none of us can guarantee that disasters will not strike ourselves and our families. This sense of helplessness and powerlessness deeply torments every individual’s heart. We yearn to find a safe path, a path where we can be protected by God in the face of disasters, allowing us to remain hopeful and not lose ourselves in despair when confronted with these unpredictable calamities. How can we find a way out in the face of disasters? How can we find hope in despair? This is a question that the entire human race is pondering, and it is a question that each of us should earnestly consider.

So let’s take a look at what these disasters are indicating. The Lord Jesus predicted, “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows(Mark 13:8). “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be(Matthew 24:21). It is evident that the occurrence of these disasters fulfills the prophecies of the Lord’s return. The fulfillment of these prophecies indicates that the last days have arrived and the Lord Jesus has already returned. God says, “The last days have arrived and countries across the world are in turmoil. There is political disarray, there are famines, pestilences, floods, and droughts appearing everywhere. There is catastrophe in the world of man; Heaven has also sent down disaster. These are signs of the last days(The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. Practice (2)). “In speaking of the last days, this refers to a separate age, one in which Jesus said you will surely encounter disaster, and encounter earthquakes, famines, and plagues, which will show that this is a new age, and is no longer the old Age of Grace(The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. The Vision of God’s Work (3)). From the words of God, we can see that when we witness these frequent disasters, it is a sign of the last days. The Lord Jesus has already returned, ending the old Age of Grace and ushering in a new era. Only by welcoming the Lord’s return and entering into the new era can we have the opportunity to be protected by God in the midst of disasters. Why is this? Because the main purpose of the Lord’s return is to express the truth to perform the work of judgment and cleansing—this will completely save people from sin, and lead them to escape sin and attain purification, so people can survive the calamities and be brought into the beautiful destination prepared by God for mankind—the kingdom of heaven. Just as the Lord Jesus prophesied, “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth(John 16:12–13). “And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day(John 12:47–48). “Sanctify them through your truth: your word is truth” (John 17:17). It can be seen that only by accepting the judgment and cleansing work done by the returned Lord in the last days, and entering into all the truth, can one be cleansed of their sins, attain purification and become a true obedient and God-fearing person. Such people are the overcomers perfected by God in the last days, the ones protected by God in disasters and brought into the kingdom of heaven. This is enough to show that accepting God’s judgment and cleansing work in the last days is the only way to gain God’s protection in disasters. God says, “A sinner such as you, who has just been redeemed, and has not been changed, or been perfected by God, can you conform to God’s will? For you, you who are still of your old self, it is true that you were saved by Jesus, and that you are not counted as a sinner because of the salvation of God, but this does not prove that you are not sinful, and are not impure. How can you be saintly if you have not been changed? Within, you are beset by impurity, selfish and mean, yet you still wish to descend with Jesus—you should be so lucky! You have missed a step in your belief in God: You have merely been redeemed, but you have not been changed. For you to conform to God’s will, God must personally do the work of changing and cleansing you; if you are only redeemed, you will be incapable of attaining sanctity. In this way you will be unqualified to share in the good blessings of God, for you have missed out a step in God’s work of managing man, which is the key step of changing and perfecting. You, a sinner who has just been redeemed, are therefore incapable of directly inheriting God’s inheritance(The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. Concerning Appellations and Identity). “Though Jesus did much work among man, He only completed the redemption of all mankind and became man’s sin offering; He did not rid man of all his corrupt disposition. Fully saving man from the influence of Satan not only required Jesus to become the sin offering and bear the sins of man, but it also required God to do even greater work to rid man completely of his satanically corrupted disposition. And so, now that man has been forgiven of his sins, God has returned to the flesh to lead man into the new age, and begun the work of chastisement and judgment. This work has brought man into a higher realm. All those who submit under His dominion shall enjoy higher truth and receive greater blessings. They shall truly live in the light, and they shall gain the truth, the way, and the life(The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. Preface).

God’s word makes it very clear: What the Lord Jesus did in the Age of Grace is the redemptive work. By believing in the Lord, our sins are forgiven, and we can enjoy the grace and blessings bestowed by God. However, it cannot be denied that we often still sin and resist God, living in a cycle of sin and confession every day, without breaking free from the bondage of sin. The judgment work done by the returned Lord through expressing the truth in the last days is the work that completely saves and purifies people. To have our sinful natures resolved and our corruptions cleaned, and stop sinning and resisting God, we must accept the truths expressed by God in the last days and experience the judgment and cleansing of His words. Only then will we be qualified to receive God’s promises, survive the tribulations and ultimately be brought into His kingdom. It is evident that the judgment work done by God through expressing the truth in the last days, is the most crucial step in God’s work of saving humanity. It is the decisive step in determining the success or failure of people’s faith in God. If one does not accept this stage of work, refuses to experience God’s judgment and purification, and even resists the judgment work of the returned Lord, they will never break free from the bondage of sin, and will always be slaves to sin. The eventual outcome is predictable: They cannot enter God’s kingdom, but will only end up in lamentation and gnashing of teeth in disasters. It will be a regrettable life indeed.

Finally, we would like to share a passage from God’s words. God says, “Those who are able to stand firm during God’s work of judgment and chastisement during the last days—that is, during the final work of purification—will be the ones who will enter into the final rest alongside God; as such, all those who enter into rest will have broken free of Satan’s influence and been obtained by God after having undergone His final work of purification. These humans, who will have been finally obtained by God, will enter into the final rest. The purpose of God’s work of chastisement and judgment is in essence meant to purify humanity, for the sake of the ultimate rest; otherwise none of humanity could be classified into different categories according to kind, or enter into rest. This work is humanity’s only path to enter into rest. Only God’s work of purification will cleanse humans of their unrighteousness, and only His work of chastisement and judgment will bring to light those rebellious elements of humanity, thereby separating those who can be saved from those who cannot, and those who will remain from those who will not. When this work ends, those people who are allowed to remain will all be cleansed and enter a higher state of humanity in which they will enjoy a more wonderful second human life upon the earth; in other words, they will commence their human day of rest, and coexist with God. After those who are not allowed to remain have been chastised and judged, their true colors will be entirely exposed, after which they will all be destroyed and, like Satan, will no longer be permitted to survive upon the earth. The humanity of the future will no longer include any of this type of people; such people are not fit to enter the land of the ultimate rest, nor are they fit to join in the day of rest that God and humanity will share, for they are the targets of punishment and are evil, unrighteous people. … The entire purpose behind God’s ultimate work of punishing evil and rewarding good is to thoroughly purify all humans so that He may bring a purely holy humanity into eternal rest. This stage of His work is the most crucial; it is the final stage of the whole of His work of management. If God did not destroy the evil, but instead allowed them to remain, then every human would still be unable to enter into rest, and God would not be able to bring all of humanity into a better realm. Such work would not be complete. When His work is finished, the whole of humanity will be entirely holy; only in this way will God be able to live in rest peacefully(The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. God and Man Will Enter Into Rest Together).
