Thoughts on Today's Bible Verse:

In this age of evil and darkness, mankind is living in Satan’s domain and is corrupt to the extreme. Man is controlled by satanic nature to act in spite of himself and to do whatever he pleases, struggling in corruption and sin. No person is able to see the true bright way of human life, nor does any person know what on earth the true meaning is of life. People are all living for themselves, living to pursue pleasures of the flesh, and struggling for their personal survival, fame, status and fortune. They are sinking deeper and deeper into corruption and sin and cannot free themselves, and have already fallen deep into darkness and extinction. Without God’s salvation, they can only be devoured and trampled by Satan in the darkness, and ultimately fall into perdition and be destroyed. Facing a world of darkness and evil, corrupt mankind feels utterly hopeless and helpless; they can only long for God’s salvation deep in their hearts. This verse tells us the words expressed by the incarnate God is the truth, and the true light. These truths can show us mankind the bright path, solve all difficulties and questions of us, so that we have the hope of being saved. Once we gain these truths, we can get rid of spiritual suffering and darkness, living in the light. Just as God says, “Whether the words spoken by God are, in outward appearance, plain or abstruse, they are all truths indispensable to man as he enters into life; they are the fount of living waters that enables him to survive in both spirit and flesh. They provide what man needs to stay alive; the dogma and creed for conducting his daily life; the path, goal, and direction through which he must pass in order to receive salvation; every truth that he should possess as a created being before God; and every truth about how man obeys and worships God. They are the guarantee that ensures man’s survival, they are man’s daily bread, and they are also the sturdy support that enables man to be strong and stand up. They are rich in the reality of the truth of normal humanity as it is lived out by created mankind, rich in the truth by which mankind breaks free from corruption and eludes Satan’s snares, rich in the tireless teaching, exhortation, encouragement, and solace that the Creator gives to created humanity. They are the beacon that guides and enlightens men to understand all that is positive, the guarantee which ensures that men will live out and come into possession of all that is righteous and good, the criterion by which people, events, and objects are all measured, and also the navigation marker that leads men toward salvation and the path of light.”
