I was born in Hong Kong, and I had studied in Christian schools since I was young. When I began to work after my graduation, I went to the church with my colleagues. Afterward, because my mother and my husband opposed my faith in the Lord, I could only attend the meetings off and on, but I persisted in praying to the Lord every day. Not until three years ago did I determine to believe in the Lord and thence I attended meetings every Sunday in the church. Then I gradually started to have some knowledge of the . In March of 2017, I met a new sister in the church and we clicked together. Afterward, having known that I was suffering from shoulder pain, the sister asked her relative to treat my illness on a volunteer basis.
In April of 2017, during the time of my treatment in the sister’s home, I met by chance Sister Jiamei, a relative of the host, who visited the sister. In the chatting, I knew that Sister Jiamei believed in the Lord as well. Since then, we often fellowshiped together after my treatment. Later, Sister Jiamei testified that the Lord Jesus has returned. Hearing this, I was so surprised and somewhat at a loss, because I had never thought that I could welcome the Lord Jesus for the rest of my life. Excited, I couldn’t believe it, so I asked if it was true. Sister Jiamei said, “It’s true. God has come to China to express the truth and do the work of judgment in to purify and save man through the revelation and judgment of His word. Thereby God’s chosen people who were deceived deeply by the CCP and under its dark regime have all been conquered by the word of Almighty God, and have gradually broken away from its bind and control to return before God’s throne. They have accepted the judgment and chastisement of Almighty God’s word, and all sorts of trials and refinements, and finally they have stood witness for God in all sorts of hunting and persecution from the CCP government. Thus, God has made a group of overcomers. This exactly fulfills the prophecy in Revelation, ‘These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb’ (Revelation 7:14).” Then Sister Jiamei told me that has changed this time, and God isn’t called Jesus but Almighty God. On hearing this, I was stunned: God’s name has changed? No, the Lord’s name will not change, because the Scripture says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Sister Jiamei read a passage of God’s word to me, “You should know that God originally had no name. He only took on one, or two, or many names because He had work to do and had to manage mankind. Whatever name He is called by, isn’t it freely chosen by Him? Does He need you, a creature, to decide it? The name by which God is called is according to what man can apprehend and the language of man, but this name cannot be encapsulated by man. You can only say that there is a God in heaven, that He is called God, that He is God Himself with great power, too wise, too exalted, too wondrous, too mysterious, too almighty, and you can say no more; that is all you know. In this way, can the name of Jesus alone represent God Himself? When the last days come, although it is still God who does His work, His name has to change, for it is a different age” (“The Vision of God’s Work (3)”).
Sister Jiamei said, “In our conceptions, we all think God had His name in the beginning, and that Jehovah was His original name. Not until God tells us the truth of the fact when He personally works and speaks in the last days, do we know that God originally had no name. God had a name when He started His work of saving mankind. Now, let’s look at the Scripture. Exodus 3:13-15 says, ‘And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the children of Israel, and shall say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say to them? And God said to Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you. And God said moreover to Moses, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, the LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial to all generations.’ In God’s work of salvation, every time God carries out a stage of work, God takes a new name. And God uses His name to open up the age and carry out the work, and also represent His work and His disposition He expresses in every age. The name ‘Jehovah’ only can represent the Age of Law, not the Age of Grace; the name ‘Jesus’ only can represent the Age of Grace, not the Age of Kingdom of the last days. So, when God comes again to do the work of judgment in the last days, He will certainly have a new name.”
Sister Jiamei read another passage of God’s word to me, “In each age and each stage of work, My name is not baseless, but holds representative significance: Each name represents one age. ‘Jehovah’ represents the Age of Law, and is the honorific for the God worshiped by the people of Israel. ‘Jesus’ represents the Age of Grace, and is the name of the God of all those who were redeemed during the Age of Grace. If man still longs for the arrival of Jesus the Savior during the last days, and still expects Him to arrive in the image He bore in Judea, then the entire six-thousand-year management plan would stop in the Age of Redemption, and would be incapable of progressing any further. The last days, furthermore, would never arrive, and the age would never be brought to an end. That is because Jesus the Savior is only for the redemption and salvation of mankind. I took the name of Jesus for the sake of all the sinners in the Age of Grace, and it is not the name by which I shall bring the whole of mankind to an end. Although Jehovah, Jesus, and the Messiah all represent My Spirit, these names only denote the different ages in My management plan, and do not represent Me in My entirety. The names by which people on earth call Me cannot articulate My entire disposition and all that I am. They are merely different names by which I am called during different ages. And so, when the final age—the age of the last days—arrives, My name shall change again. I shall not be called Jehovah, or Jesus, much less the Messiah, but shall be called the powerful Almighty God Himself, and under this name I shall bring the entire age to an end” (“The Savior Has Already Returned Upon a ‘White Cloud’”).
Then, she said, “God used the name Jehovah to lead the newborn human race to live on the earth. He required people to comply with the laws and learn to worship and magnify Him. Those who kept the laws of Jehovah would be accompanied by His blessings and grace, but those who transgressed the laws would be stoned to death or burned by the heavenly fire. God took the name Jehovah to represent His disposition of majesty, wrath, curse and mercy He expressed to the people of that age. In the late period during the Age of Law, as people were more and more corrupt and their sins grew greater in number, they couldn’t keep the laws. In this situation, people all were in danger of being punished at any time for their lawlessness. For that reason, taking the name Jesus, God did a stage of redemptive work. Under this name, He opened up the Age of Grace and ended the Age of Law; He expressed the disposition of compassion and mercy and blessed people with abundant grace; finally, He was crucified on the cross for man in order to redeem man back from Satan. Since then, people began to pray in the name of the Lord Jesus and could enjoy His grace of forgiveness and abundant grace. Actually, each name that God takes in each age has its representative meaning, that is, each name represents the work and His disposition He expresses in that age. In the Age of Grace, if God had been called Jehovah not Jesus when He came, it shows that His work wouldn’t have moved forward but would have still stopped in the Age of Law. In this way, corrupt humans wouldn’t have gained God’s redemption and finally would have been condemned and punished for violating God’s laws. Similarly, in the last days, when God comes, if He still used the name Jesus, it means the Age of Grace wouldn’t be finished yet; then, we corrupt humans would only be forgiven of our sins and would never break free of the bondage of sin and get purified to enter into God’s kingdom. It is because although we are redeemed by the Lord Jesus and received forgiveness of our sins, our sinful nature is still within us, we still sin often, and we aren’t completely gained by God. Thus, in order to completely save us humans from sin, on the basis of the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus, God has started to express the truth and do the work of judgment to completely purify and save us. Therewith, God’s name has changed again.”
Through the sister’s fellowship, I understood: God uses different names in different ages. In the Age of Grace, God was crucified as a sin offering for man. He took the name Jesus just for His work in the Age of Grace. In the final age, when God uses His words to do the work of judgment, His name changes again and He is called the powerful Almighty God. Only then did I understand that the significance of God’s name is so great. The truth regarding God’s name is a mystery. I couldn’t define God’s name by my conception any more. I needed to put aside my conception to investigate God’s work, or else I would lose the Lord Jesus’ salvation.
In the following days, I would afford two days a week to investigate Almighty God’s work in the last days. After a period of time, through attending meetings, fellowshiping with others, and on the Internet watching various films and hymn videos of God’s words produced by the Church of Almighty God, I was certain that God indeed has become flesh and come to the East (China). It fulfilled the prophecy of the Lord Jesus, “For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also be in his day” (Luke 17:24). As a result, I accepted Almighty God’s work in the last days. Thank God!

Now, disasters are occurring frequently everywhere. In the Philippines, the pandemic and the famine have not passed yet and powerful Typhoon Molave, Goni and Tropical Storm Atsani have landed. Biblical prophecies of the coming of the Lord have been fulfilled. It stands to reason that the Lord has returned—so why have we yet to welcome His arrival? Will we not be plunged into the great tribulation if this carries on? And just what should we do to welcome the Lord’s coming?
